In the south-east of the kingdom, on the average Draâ, is the province of Zagora. It covers an area of 23 000 km ² of which 58,700 hectares of UAA and 1 012 000 hectares of grassland

Ancient geological formations:

The territory of the province of Zagora is dominated by the chain of the Anti-Atlas; old Paleozoic moderate altitude training. The area is crossed by the chain Jbel Ordovician Bani is the western edge of the cup Tazarine elbow and above the area to Tamegroute Foum-Zguid.


On the platform, the region is divided into several units (valleys, mountains, plains and plateaus of the desert). Prevailing winds in the area are Chergui, dry and hot from the north-east, more frequent in summer, and Sahili, plus shipping, from the south-west takes place in winter.
